considering purchasing an HHO kit
Hi,
I've been researching a lot about HHO kits recently. As many of you know there are plenty of "scam" alerts on this technology.
I truly want to believe that this technology works. However, I'm also very worried about parting with $700 of my hard earned money for the top of the line kit.
The inventor of the kit claims that his unit can routinely double gas mileage using his ECU tunning device and generator.
He's a "trusted seller" on ebay. However, after reading his positive reviews very few of his reviews were from customers that actually purchased his kit. The people that did purchase his kit, for the most part, reviewed it prior to install.
It seems odd to me. If i spent $700 on a kit I would withhold my review until I'd had the kit installed, tested and verified his claims prior to issuing a 5 star review.
I don't want to be a skeptic but there seems to be a lot of "good science" that refutes any gains in MPG from HHO kits. Although, some of the members of this forum have acknowledged realizing MPG gains no one is taken serious if they're claiming 100% increase.
The link to the ebay kit I'm considering purchasing is here:

Pls don't buy from that guy. He's full of it. ZeroFossilFuel, a well respected member of the community, did a live recreation of this system and it was VERY inefficient. Made from PVC and only handles up to 130F. Terrible -F for FAIL.

I personally choose to build my stuff. If I were to just buy then I might consider some of these:

Kits are available on most. Hope this helps.
