Mass "Grid" Setup (And I'm a New)

    Hiya all.
I'm Tom, from the UK, and been interested in Hydrogen for a while now, and like the idea of making my own generator, but have just won a used one on eBay I shall mess around with.
My new idea I thought of, I call the Grid System, uses the basic +NNN-NNN+ setup, but set out on a grid, basically, so each electrode is a square bar, instead of a plate.
Heres a pic of what I have so far:

The Reds are Positive, Blues Negatives, and Whites are Neutrals, and black empty space.
Now, this is just an idea, not a design as such, as am new to all of this, but, with a few changes, (like some of the Neutrals on the outer edges being worked on, or whatever, I did think of something loosely, like this:

), do you think it would be an efficient Generator?

    Many thanks,
    Tom.

I don't know, looks like a big mess to me. You have + and - right next to each other diagonally. Not to mention this thing would be a current leaking nightmare, very inefficient. I may be wrong but I don't see this design working well at all.

Oh right, okay, well, I am new to this, but thanks.
Still, looks like a nice bit of art, that someone with more money than sense will no doubt buy for like $5m.
And it's good to be aboard, I look forward to reading more.
    Thanks again,
    Tom.
