    Always use a bubbler

The heat of the engine alone will not ignite the HHO gas from the generator. But it is very easily ignited by a spark or open flame. So, it is very important that no HHO gas escapes from the generator to the engine compartment. If you use a bubbler to protect from backfire and have good seals on all your componets there should be little chance of a fire/explosion. If you apply a gentle vacuum to the system any imperfections in the seals will only draw air into the system and not allow HHO to excape.
