    Nylon rod and nuts

    Hi,

Bought out the local hardware store's supply of stainless light switch plates. Got some flake drain cleaner. But!!! I can't seem to find any nylon rod or nylon nuts or spacers. Where are they normally kept in a large home center (the pimple faced kids just roll there eyes and give a shrug).

    Thanks!

Well, in home depot and lowes, they are in the nuts and bolts section. There is a set of drawers with all sorts of rubber washers and o-rings and stuff. Here locally, the drawer is kept at the end of the nuts and bolts isle.

Goto Lowes as Home Depot does carry Nylon Washer, Nuts, Bolts. I walk Home depot for 1 hour or more and found none. At Lowes its at hardware section in draw( easy to Find)

Look for a local Fastenal store. They will be happy to order you a 6 foot stick of plastic/nylon all-thread rod. $25.00. Delivery time to the store should be about 1 or 2 business days if they don't have it in stock. They should be able to supply all your nylon or stainless rod, washer and nut needs.

We have no Lowes and we have no Home Depot, just Menards. And I looked in all the bins. No go.

    Grainger is a good idea!

Yes. A 2' mailing tube is easy to manage, compact... 6' however...
