    Does Canada offer money to help out?

    Here in Australia, we get a AU$6000 grant (I think they give it back to you over 3 years) for PV panels, which gives you 1kW worth of panels. You still have to front up the installation costs which come to AU$2000.

    if i could get it all setup for $8000 id go for it!!!! when i checked into solar power it was looking like i was going to fork out about $ 50 to 60 thou.

    no i havent, but watts are watts right. how could the shingles provide enough kilowatts to run the household. i was going to need to cover my house and most of my back yard. with batteries, charge controllers and the rest of the gadgets to complete the install it just didnt seem worth it. can you please tell me who he contacted for the shingles. im highly interested. if he can pay for his in only 4 years, its worth it! it would take me 30 years for the design i looked into
