map enhancer, or EFIE, or both?

I find there are MAP Sensor Enhancers for about $50, seems that they are just resistors. Anyone can respond to that? a couple potentiometers should work, - what size is the question.

there are EFIE units for around $50 +/- each for each O2 sensor. these are rather complex items.

Question is for optimum efficiency is it best to use one or the other or both?

    Thanks

I've heard that the O2 sensor output needs to have approxiamately 0.1 volt
superimposed onto it, while the the MAF or MAP(forget which one) needs to have some of the current output shunted to ground. O2 seems to be a voltage output while MAP or MAF is a current output. Both of these modifications can be done with resistors/pots. in the 5k to 100k ohm range.

actually for around 6 bucks you can build your own the schematica are all over the net, but you need to have a soldering iron and some solder.
