making EFIE for flow meter

Reading about ppl making an efei, they sometimes have the problem of moving the knob very little and getting tooooooo much change on a map sensor. If the efie was made with a 10-50k pot, could this not be overcome with a 100k pot?
Anyway what about using an efie with a flowmeter device. Should I build the regular on with a 50k pot or some other device for changes?

That depend on schematic. The simple answer is no, usually you'll need a smaller value potentiometer. But the simplest approach is to use same value pot, but multiturn (makes 10 revolutions to cover the same value ) And probably you need a linear pot, not logarithmic.
