    Type of relay to use?

Tonight I will install my first cell. What size of relay should I use? I was thinking a 30 amp relay and then using a 25 amp inline fuse. Is this correct? any tips? Thanks!

In terms of your relay, there's no such thing as too big... I would always leave a margin... for example, if you're shooting to run your cell at 20 amps, then go for a 30 amp relay and a 30 amp fuse.

To be more precise, you need to work out your target for maximum amp draw (make an allowance for the cell heating up... amp draw after several hours of use can be a big difference!). Once you have this figure, you can leave a safety margin and you have your number.

Relays tend to heat up under heavy load so i would recommend at least a 40-50 amp relay for a 25 amp system.
