I thought I would try something new....7000-10000 volts across my cell. I went over to the orange box store and bought an electric fence box and hooked it up. This box also pulses like every second. Guess what happened with the hydrogen production? NOTHING  Oh well I tried.

At least you tryed it :)

Did you measured the Amps output ? Most probably in the range of 10 mA - 50 mA.

Thanks

No I did not measure the amps. or the volts.

I hadn't thought of trying that. If you'd have posted the idea, I would have tried it for you. I have an electric fence.

The reason behind the very large voltage of an electric fence is to 'push' the current a very long way and through a body. There is very little power coming from the box. Because voltage will drop a little across each foot of electric fence wire it takes a good amount of initial voltage to have a usable voltage after a couple of miles of wire. The amps will be very low while I don't know what they actually are. 1amp @ 7000V may be enough to kill. I would rather that not happen to my horses.

When I went through electronics school, we were taught that as little as 30mA can be fatal under the right conditions.

Yeah, I think we were told 1A. It could have been less.

Going to throw this out there. I have an old train set & was wondering i the transformer that regulates the volts to the train to work.More volts the faster the train. I have an 800 watt converter for my car. Anybody know if this would work. Volts may not be the correct power described, I know it converts a/c to D/c

ya some one please say weather that will work. what about the power supply from a neon light display?

Bossman, Countryboy18,

Neither a train transformer nor a neon transformer will drive enough current to make significant amounts of HHO.

I would try the train transformer. I read somewhere about someone doing it.

Can't say that it worked though

Maybe an automotive "coil over plug" will work for you. The new ones are upwards of 30,000 Volts. Search this article for "amps". The guy said the coil was producing 6.5 amps. http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/feb2003/mech.htm
