Where is the cheapest place I can find 316 SS?

The cheapest you will find is if you purshase large weight. I'll have it available after this weekend, but it isn't cheap. Even for me to get it I had to purchase a lot more than I was comfortable doing.

Bought a 2 foot by 3 foot piece of 0.030, 316 stainless for about 60 bucks from McMaster Carr. I thought that wasn't too bad. They are on the net.

I am considering selling these plates to the specs that people want.I live next to a big steel yard that sells anything made of steel.They sell in sheets or truck loads.If I can get a big enough response I would probably try it.The problem is that everyone is trying something different so It takes a alot of time changing the shear for a small amount.Guess i'll try to do a min order.What do ya think?????????

That sounds like a good idea. I think I need a 60'' x 14'' sheet. How much would that cost me roughly?

I was thinking about using 18 guage 316 plate, but that is going to be really expensive for that amount I need. How much do you think you can get 16 or 18 guage 304 plate for?
