Hi,

As I understand, passivation is the removal of exogenous iron or iron compounds from the surface of stainless steel by means of a chemical dissolution using nitric-acid-based solutions.

Citric-acid-based solutions are also commonly used dissolved in water in a proportion of 10 to 1.

Should I look for a specific brand or any brand will do?

Thanks,

What is passivation?
And what's the advantage to the electrolysis process?
