They have been making transformers for 100 years.

They coat the laminations and wires to insulate and to protect up to temperatures hotter than I can stand.

What the heck is the stuff?

What about conformal coating?

It isn't designed for transformers per se, but it does have a temperature rating of up to 125 Celsius.
