Hey all. I'm kinda new to this, but I was just wondering about the voltage of the individual plates in a bipolar dry cell (Voltage distribution)

So if I'm using 12v, and I have this setup:

-NNNNN+NNNNN-NNNNN+NNNNN-

Do I still divide 12 v by the total amount of water cells in the WHOLE generator, or divide 12 by the amount in between the + and -? Thanks very much!

Voltage will be divided by the number of cells in a stack. In your example it is 6 cells. 12/6 = 2 volts per cell. It will also divide the amps by the number of stacks which in your example is 4. So if you input 20 amps each cell will get 5 amps. 20/4 = 5
