Nalgene makes some awesome cheap bottles that cost under $20 that can withstand well over the boiling point of water. I'm thinking about buying the 1/2 gallon one to start my cell in.

Hope it's thick enough for the fittings, and for simple strength. Temperature rating sure is much better than PVC or ABS.

Also hope the seal is good enough for HHO gas. Looks okay.

I was wondering about nalgenes, I new the one quart size would work. Does any one have dimensions on these containers? Mouth size, height, and width. My wife buys and sells nalgene bottles, but just the ones for hiking and backpacking. I have her calling the reps for dims on Monday, but I don't want to wait that long.

There are some on the site that is made from polycarbonate, says its good for 275 degrees. That is the same thing the water filters are made of but these don't look as thick. I like the clear grey 48 oz for a bubbler.

I found a Polycarbonate (I think) container in Wal-Mart this week. It has a wire bail snap lid and a silicone seal. the price was $7.99.

It measured 4 7/8" wide and 7 7/8" high.

If a thin soft container explodes, less external danger.

Thin is in IMHO.

When I opened our frige yesterday I seen a container that looked like it may be polycabonate.

So I E-Mailed the company and ask if all their containers are polycarbonate and they responed that they are.

So go to these two links and see what you think.

You will have to find a way for holding the lids on.

Looks like ones I use for my vac u seal. I have been microwaving the crap out of one and it gets pretty damn hott. Bet it would be fine to use but holds the heat well past 5 min. So would be a turn off engine and such and let cool before opening it.

Heat was not my concern when I posted this. It is the price that should be looked at.

Funny thing about your comment. Was in Home Depot and filter holders are about $18. So, those containers are about the same price. Only problem that I see is how to keep the lid on real good. Think about this. They are vac u seal, so if you don't put a vac on it, it does not stay down that well.

So, makes you think about what is better. I am thinking the screw on lids or one that actually clamps down.
