Clearence between end of corners

I would like to build a generator with 4 cells, one for each side of a rectangular container. My question is at the corners of the cells what should the minimum clearence be between the cells in each corner or is that important as long as they are not touching?

I would say 1 inch minumum. That's the distance I'm using for good separation in my system. It's nothing like what you are talking but 1 inch is working for me if I want some separation.
