Pretty cool Dennis. Where is your disclaimers?;) Removal of hose prior to ignition ect.

Yea...a valve on the inlet would be nice.

That was a bad link.

Try this ignitor

I've seen multiple videos on youtube with this, some pretty funny. One was really funny as some guys were launching them across the road. Low and behold a cop rolled buy while launching one. The video stops there, but it is funny. I can't seem to find that one now as it was months ago I saw it...

Just a bit of input since you got me thinking of it Dennis. Here is an attached drawing for using a piece of 3” pvc as the launch platform. This way it will guide the bottle better and be forced into a trajectory. Just an idea, If set up like an old cannon a person could target practice with it....

HHO cannon competition!!! lol, your car your generator and a launching system. 1st prise a glass of water.

Since were on the topic of other uses for hho has anybody filled balloons from their generators? How much pressure will a smacks build? I tend to get nervous when this gas is put under pressure. But I would love to ignite a balloon in the presence of unsuspecting co-workers.

A balloon full would be like setting off a stick of dynamite under a 55 gallon drum. I definitely do not recommend even attempting it. If you don't think so then just run into your generator into a glass of soapy water. Let the generator run for about 30 min to condition the water, take a spoon full of the bubbles and light it. You'll be impressed and deaf for a while.

I had thoughts about making some sort of rocket. Estes sells a hydrogen rocket kit that uses pellet "electrolyte"... probably a Kool-aid like citric acid. I think the power source is a 9 volt battery. I haven't actually seen one (other than the pics on estes site & you-tube), but I think it builds pressure to some point then auto ignites. My idea was to make something out of PVC, small maybe 3/4". Then collect HHO into a large syringe, so it could be compressed somewhat in the rocket. My problem would be holding it there for ignition. With a little pressure & a nozzle, the HHO should burn outside the rocket until atmospheric pressure was reached. At that point, the HHO inside the rocket should explode just enough to release a parachute out the top the way model rockets do. Any thoughts out there?

I've already lit a nice big cluster of bubbles. I see guys on youtube lighting ballons. Where do they get the pressure to fill them?

They just wait and make sure they have no leaks. Give it time. The pressure of the balloon will somewhat compress the HHO. The generators will eventual build enough positive pressure to fill it.

Sadly HHO this discussion of HHO rockets brings back my old idea of an oxygen acetylene golf ball cannon. This might deserve some further rethinking. Safe no. But it might be fun to hurl golf balls at targets.

Some precautions. Don't set this balloon off indoors if you plan to scare your co-workers. You will probably get fired. In addition to hearing damage you will get pummeled by a bunch of your co-workers. Also don't hold the balloon in your hand and light it. Put it on a string and attach a torch to a long stick. Distance is your friend.

It sounds like you speak from experience about lighting balloons at work, Mr Smith... LOL
