I was at home depot and saw handy box covers, these where $.50 each, a little smaller in dimension compared to blank switch plate covers.

Do you guys think those will work? or not as good as the stainless steel switch plate covers?
Also curious how do you connect them up? I am thinking about a 5 to 8 plate for my beginner project.
