bulletproof lexan any good for building dry cells? I have quite a few sheets available to me and I'm wondering if it is any good?

If memory serves me correctly lexan DOES NOT play nice with KOH and will degrade pretty quick.

Googled HDPE, or get some thin cutting board and use 1/16- 1/8 thick sheet of metal as the backing. LEXAN will crack unless you support it with a sheet metal as suggested above.
