From Nicks Realm

Due to an apparent lack of interest and an obvious lack of participation, these forums have been wiped clean and converted for private use.

I'm done. It's that simple.

I believe he is a man of his word so that is the answer.

Well, like the sign said, it's 'Nick's Realm' and he can do whatever he wants to with it. Something major happened in his life (I won't speculate as to what) and we started seeing changes in his attitude several weeks ago.
Aside from that, I know I pizzed him off a couple of times pretty well, and Carter (Myoldyourgold) pizzed him off enough to get himself banned. Nick is a helluva smart guy but from a temperment standpoint he might not be the "peoples choice award winner" for the guy to moderate a forum- even though it's his own.:D

The other theory is that he's a spy for either the g'ment or biggoil and when Larry started getting the numbers he was getting out of the magbeast, Nick and a strike team flew to Ak. in an unmarked C-130, dissapeared Larry and all his equipment, notes & builds and is now forcing him to work in a secret g'ment lab at the north pole code named Fort Solitude.;)

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Gus, yer a sick dude.......::D;)
It really sucks that Nick shut the Underground down. We've been friends for years and most of what I've learned about this technology came from him directly. I'm gonna miss his Calculator, too. It was by far the most advanced one out there!

Just be thankful you have a Job!! I gave up that crapola up 12 years ago!!

I just disassembled two large reactors today to see why they do what they do and if there is anything I can do to improve them. Always looking for more!! I am also assembling a new one with some great mods which will take a couple of days. That is what I call work.

Are you going to change your signature or do you know something the rest of us don't, or are you just hoping. LOL :D

Keith,
There was a lot more going on than met the eye... I think a lot of folks there were just kind of rocked back on their heels by Larry's build & ability to pay for the things that he needed for that build to accomplish what he set out to accomplish. Sort of like the feeling that would be inspired by what someone else said here a few days ago "Go big, or go home". Not that people went home, they probably were just more interested in seeing what was going to happen next in the Tale of the Magnetic Beastie.. It was a great story! Besides, Larry was blazing a new trail through some old tech with the addition of the magnets and it was good stuff, good enough to make a lot of folks take a "wait and see" approach to their own builds so as not to waste money and time on things deemed less than optimal. If you lean way back and blur your eyes a little bit, you can see that when you cross a life changing event with a paradigm shift, this kind of thing falls into the category of "possible occurrences." At least that's my take on it.:rolleyes:

Well, I was totally shocked and depressed to see the Underground shut down. I don't think Nick realized the impact the site was making. I don't post much, but I read almost everything and will miss that. Oh well, it is his sandbox...

Gus -- are you planning on coming to the HHO games in Bradenton/Sarasota the middle of this month?

Astro, who is putting on these games? What type of people are going to be there? The reason I ask is I might be interested unless there is going to be a lot of Mason jar water4gas people which I have no interest in. I might have my new setup up and running and be able to drive down cheap. It is only 2500 plus miles one way and would be a good test. LOL What are the exact dates.

Steve, I'd really like to but I'm busy every weekend with projects associated with building the dome. This weekend it's finish the outhouse and next weekend it's cut & nail form boards. Besides, I don't have anything to display this year. BUT!- If you can convince Carter to drive in from the left coast, not only will I come down for a day, I'll put him up and feed him before he has to make that left turn on I-10 & head back... You lisnen' Carter?

While I am on travel I was not able to access the site, maybe I ****ed of and not know it. Hence, I didn't post on the site that much due lack of connectavity to the site. sorry to hear it's gone. One good thing, at least most of the veteran are posting again. NOTE to moderator, keep the site clean.

Guys, The last time I posted here I was so ****ed at the BS that kept going on I swore I would never log on again. I wondered what happened to the underground and decided to check here.

You guys are like family to me. There is a handful that is really trying to make a difference. I guess that is why I am so ****ed at Nick. Many people poured their heart and soul into great research and honest to goodness open source sharing at the underground.

It really ****es me off that with a couple of keystrokes from someone that all that research is just wasted. It is one thing for someone to get rid of their own posts and threads. It is their stuff but when someone plays God with others great work it is really an issue that needs professional help.

Nick, I hope you read this and I really hope you are proud of yourself because no one else is. I know it was your site but it was YOU that invited others to share there. It was YOU that destroyed all that hard work. I am not posting just about what I did but more about what everyone else did.

You had great friends that were standing behind you in your time of need. They were doing their best to keep that site propped up while you healed from your loss. Then you just ****ed in all their cheerios. Hope you are happy.

Guys if you will have me I am back.

Larry

Larry good to hear from you again. Everyone can gain a lot with your vast experience.

I for one have a some what different outlook on life than most and would welcome Nick to post here at anytime. I might disagree with someone right or wrong but will never let that upset me more than just a very few minutes. Life is just to short. I hold no malice towards Nick. He did what he did maybe for good reasons at least to him. He helped everyone with some very sound scientific information to back up what his thoughts were and what the main line scientific studies showed. He also allowed other theories which were not backed up with main line studies but made sure they were noted as such. He ran a tight ship and still allowed a lot of fun. I have told him this many times and will miss not only all the information but also the great association. Maybe we can pick up here and go forward.

Anyone got a good joke to share. I need a good laugh to break up the laborious task of applying Weldon 16 on 75 plates today.

Larry, I hear you loud and clear and agree 1000%! I had several threads bookmarked so I could refer to that information. Now it's gone. From now on, I guess I'll print them and start a file --- poor trees.

As for the HHO Games, they are a more-or-less annual event here in Bradenton, FL. Having said that, I'm a little embarrassed to say I've never gone. I've always assumed it was full of mason-jar-heads. And while I think there will be plenty of them there, I do believe they are trying to raise the playing field, so to speak, while still concentrating on individual experimenters and HHO enthusiasts in general. So, seeing as though the place they are holding the event this year is only about 3 miles from my house, I do plan on popping in. If anyone would like more info, their website is www.hhogames.com

Welcome back Larry!!! By the way awhile back you helped me with my monster 17v 120 amp power supply. I was able to control the voltage with electronics instead of a variac for a sleek finish. I promised you pics or a video and I will get those posted soon.

Hey Steve,
When I went in Nov. of '09, there weren't any mason jar systems there, nada, none, nothing. Based on what I saw there the units you showed me at the diesel get together would have fit right in. I don't think a mason jar-head would have dared to have shown up for fear of being laughed out of the place. There was one company there that was doing systems for marine diesels and looked to have their act together. There is also a local family there, the Tarantola's, that are somewhat like local nobility and apparently very big into HHO systems, although I had never heard of them before that day.

I will but it may be a while. As many people here know I am in the automotive industry. That is how I make every dime. With the natural disaster in Japan I fully expect a very lean summer. We only sell and service Japaneese models. I fully expect to be completely out of cars to sell and parts to repair them in a couple of months. I am saving every dime right now. Down to the last nickel I can save because I have no idea how long this will last.

Bio, I wish it were that easy. The public still does not understand the entire scope of this situation. Every automobile made today does contain some parts from Japan. It will effect everyone and will drive the prices up. It's not just cars. It will effect many many items as soon as the current stock is depleted.

That is the company I work for, only before I came on-board and completely redesigned their system -- LOL. Like I said, I've personally never gone, and the guys that displayed at that show are no longer around, so I'm glad to get a report on what to expect.
