Hi all,

Can the chlorine in the tap water damage my engine even if I use a bubbler?

Thanks a lot,

I am no mechanic, but I would not see an issue with tap water chlorine. The chlorine gas created when using salt as an electrolyser agent is a much greater ammount going to the engine because it is a byproduct of generating the HHO. The chlorine in the water is a very small ammount and would likely be cleaned out by the bubbler.

Tap water all together can pose a bunch of issues as there are minerals and other chemicals such as floride and so on. In my experiences, tap water turns to a brown soup WAY FASTER than distilled water, no matter what electrolyser agent is used.

Set the tap water aside overnight. The chlorine will "off gas" and be gone in the morning.

Good idea omega...Also sunlight will neutralize the chlorine, too....maybe a combination of both to get rid of it. But beware of all the additional stuff contained in tap water though.
