perforated 347 stainless steel [Archive]

I got a set ( 15 ) of perforated 347 stainless steel 3" x 5", and planning to use them in a cell as N plates and 316L gauge 18 plates as + and - . The set will be +NNNNN-NNNNN+NNNNN-, Have someone had any experience with this plates ( perf 347 SS ) ?

They won't be neutral plates. Maybe call them leakage plates.
I'd be interested in what your voltage drop's would be across these "neutral plates".

I think you'll just end up with a water heater that makes a lot of steam and a little HHO. IMO

Electricity looks for the shortest distance of least resistance. meaning currant will want to go through your electrolyte more so that the stainless.

you will still make some HHo, just not efficiently.

I dont see why not. It may actually have a good result.

FWIW, I think the SS is less resistant than the electrolyte. But still ...
