hi all thanks for reading.

I want to make a cell just so I can get to grips with the hho scene, and to learn.

I want 7 plates with a + one side and - the other, the plates will be 90mm square .9mm stainless with 1.5mm rubber gaskets between.

does this sound like a working combo?

thanks again.

Ben,
90 mm square sounds alright & 1.5 mm gaskets shouldn't be a problem as long as the plates don't warp.

Hi Bopins
Is that 7 plates total or 7 plates with another plate for plus (+) and another
plate for minus (-) for a total of 9?

My plates are 8 inches wide by 10 inches tall. 203.2 mm x 256 mm

= 52019 sq mm

Are you sure you are going to make your plates 90mm square???
Unless of course you are taking about 90 x 90 LOL not 90mm square.
That is tiny! that's 9.48 mm x 9.48 mm!
or .37 of an inch x .37 of an inch that would be near imposable to hook a hose too.
Thats smaller then a postage stamp.

DIY cells take some time to do. So IMO its better to make them as big as possible. If i was building a 7 plate cell, 9"x 9" is what id do. It only cost a little more than a 4"x 4" but it is basically the same amount of work. This way when your done, you have a cell that can put out a usable amount of gas.
5 Xs more surface area & gas potensial

hi all and thanks for reading.

its 9 plates in total + nnnnnnn -
they are 90 x 90 x .9.
as for the cost, I don't care the stainless is coming to me free of charge!!!
want to build something small just to learn, then go for a bigger unit.
