Last year my company designed a high current controller for H2-O Performance Hydrogen Fuel Cells.

H2-O Performance makes high-end HHO kits for semi trucks. They use their own proprietary PEM Fuel cells that allow them to generate HHO without adding an additional electrolyte. Also, their cells do not contain any steel so they don't create hexavalent chromium as a byproduct of electrolysis. As a result their cells are top-notch but priced for the Semi market.
An agreement has been reached, and we have begun adapting the board we created for H2-O Performance to sell as our own product for HHO Enthusiasts.
We are looking for feedback regarding features and minimum specs that would be appealing to users in this forum. Any input is appreciated.
Just to give you some ideas of what makes our product a cut above the rest here are the current features of our design:
Adjustable Constant Current Supply - 100A Max.
Frequency control - 200Hz - 40KHz
Voltage Input Protection:
Load Dumps as high as 100V. (happens if your battery is disconnect while the engine is running)
Reverse Voltage Protection (if you plug it in backwards)
16V+ input voltage shutdown. Automatically shuts down if the voltage off your alternator goes above 16V.
Optional Readout Display
Input Voltage
PWM Duty
PWM Frequency
Output Voltage/Current/Power
Our current sensing uses the solid state relay (MOSFET) as the shunt so you don't have the wasted power or large voltage drops found in most other current sensing designs.
This is provided by a special algorithm that takes into account the non-linearity in voltage drop presented by the FET
High grade connectors for minimal voltage across connection
Adjustable Over-current protection (how critical is this?)
Boards are conformal coated to protect from moisture damage
Our goal is to provide a high-end rock solid HHO PWM Controller with a price point of about $150. We are looking to also provide an optional enclosure with readout display as an additional purchase.
