HAMDEN, Conn. (AP) — The Connecticut AAA says gasoline prices in the state remain among the highest in the region, but they’ve gone down a bit in recent days.
The AAA said Thursday that in the past three days average prices have dropped 3 cents a gallon, the third drop in about two months.
AAA(LT)s daily Fuel Gauge Report shows average statewide prices for self-serve, regular gasoline are $2.82 a gallon, down nearly a penny from Monday.
However, the price is still up 27 cents from last month. A year ago it was $4.37.
Connecticut has the sixth highest average gas prices in the nation. AAA says only Hawaii, California, Alaska, Washington State and New York are higher
