Hi have two of the water for gas generators, I haven't
hooked these up to my truck yet because when I run them
off of my power supply they get real hot, I turned the cells
off when the temp reached 145*. I was using distiled water
and only 1/8th tea spoon of baking soda... I didnt want to
run them on my truck till I am sure what the problem is.
I was afraid the plastic lid would warp or melt...

Simple answer... Throw the W4G crap in the trash and build yourself a proper plate cell. Chalk up any money that you spent on it as "Learning". The truth is the W4G systems just do not produce enough HHO to help the engine out. Any gains that are claimed are because of the EFIE or MAP enhancers. They work by leaning the engine out... To the point of being unhealthy to the engine. The current thought is that you need at least 1 LPM of HHO for every 1 litre of engine size.

I agree throw them out, your putting 12 DC with that crap on a single cell if you go over 2.4 volts DC your making steam, and not much HHO.

Why not start small and work your way up. I just built a 1.5 volt

to 15 volt DC 100 AMP POWER SUPPLY, you can also, If you have a old 1000

watt microwave kicking around take it apart and pull the 15 pound

transformer out, then just ask and i will help you built the best power supply

ever for HHO. The perfect tool most of the parts you can get for free and 4

hours later you will be all set to take on what ever HHO project you can think

of.

Start with just two plates in a wet cell, then move to a dry cell, two plates

will ony need about 2 volts this suppy will make this hobby cheap to get into

why waste all that money on a lot of plates just to find out it didn't work

You can measure the mmw of the two plates just like you do with 101 plates but cheaper

The more you learn, the more you will want to kick your self for buying that crap

Tom will sell you two plates all cut and even drilled, and if you want to pay me i will built you that supply for $99.00 But i'm sure you can do it yourself

Let me know Gary

well i do have a plate hho generator that works well. And I didnt spend
that much on the water for gas units, cuz I just copied this guys design
off of you tube, and built them myself... I just wanted to try it out...
My other unit is built just like this http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_cclzbkAgo&feature=channel_page

Except mine dont run off of 5v and i used plate ss. It get's hot too:(
But it works well though:)

Your link does not work

1. You can lower heat by just adding another neutral plate.

2. you can lower heat to some degree by lowering the concentration of your electrolyte.

3. A constant current PMW is probably the easiest and best way to lower heat. It will actually give you control of the amp draw = output = heat... At start up this can allow your cell to heat up faster, to get the desired output ASAP, then automatically maintain the desired output while not letting it get too hot.

Don't use baking soda! it has a few problems.
Use KOH. or Noah if you cant find KOH.

Is that equation what you need to start seeing a difference.
Or are we talking 10%, 20%, or what.
