I definitely agree with this statement. H2 on it's own, when ignited, will burn using the 18-20% O2 that is available in the atmosphere, which is far below stoich.

This very fact has had me thinking for the past few days, when injecting HHO into our engines, by the time it gets into the cylinder and is well mixed with the 14.7:1 ratio of air to fuel, it must be *VERY* far from stoich. In other words, the loud pops and bangs we can make at the top of our bubblers are a far cry from the explosive quality we will get in the combustion chamber.

No wonder we need 1-2 LPM of dry HHO to see a difference. I think that water vapour plays a much larger part than we realise.
