It shouldn't be anymore dangerous than a bubbler full of HHO or a gas tank full of gasoline.

I've been using a 50/50 mix of denatured alcohol ($10 from Home Depot for a gallon) and distilled water. Works well and is what is typically used in water injection systems. The HHO bubbles help carry this WI mix to the intake.

If we did use gasoline in the bubbler, the same would happen with gasoline vapours. Don't think we could count on the bubbler as a safety device though.

I am not sure that I am comfortable with a bubbler full of both HHO and gasoline. It would be just my luck for a flash back. Then the pressure releif would not work. Then the bubbler would explode filling my pickup bed with burning gasoline.

I am not sure that my insurance agent would understand.

Why not just use windshield washer solution rated for -25 F. ? Rain-X De-Icer has worked great for me. It is also a nice orange color. I'm not sure I like the idea of gasoline vapors and pure oxygen in the same container.

maybe not petrol
but why not
thin oil or brake fluid that even absorbs moisture
