Hi All,

This is my first post.

I belong to another forum, but have not seen an answer yet.

I live in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

I have looked around but can not find 316, and the dealer told me that he thinks that it will be VERY hard to get it.

My question is, will 304 work almost as well, how long will it hold up in comparison to 316? They do have 304 here.

Thanks in advance, QTdude

Welcome to the forum!

Yes, you can use 304 stainless steel, but it won't hold up as long as 316 does. You can still expect many years of operation from it though.

Russ.

Hey Russ,

Many thanks for a timely reply!

With it lasting years, does not seem to be a problem anyway.

At the rate we are all going, if we get even 6 months, GREAT

WHO CARES

There's a 99% chance that we will change our design, and it won't matter because we will need all new plates anyway
