Has anyone been able to develop a HHO generator that produces more energy than it consumed?

go to your favorite search engine.

what you're describing is commonly called "overunity"

thus far it has not been proven possible but there are some that are still pursuing it.

Put another way: Has anyone been able to produce a Perpetual Motion Machine?

Why bother?

Has anyone been able to touch their right elbow with their right hand?

Why bother?

I hope that this helps.

If there can be no net gain in energy than why bother? Why not just use the energy in its current form rather than converting it at a loss.

Your not using the HHO as a forum of energy though it doesnt replace the petrol/diesel as the fuel it just make the diesel/petrol burn with more efficiency.

You dont have to break the first rules of physics by creating more power than you use like so many people believe. Of corse theres less energy potential in the hydrogen produced than there was in the fuel burnt to create it.
