Hi Walter,

There is a common misconception that water can be a fuel. It isn't. If you use energy to convert water to hydroxy gas, then the hydroxy gas can be used as a fuel, BUT the energy is coming from whatever source was used to split the water in the first place. The water conversion to hydroxy gas and back to water again is only a carrier of the original energy.

It can be quite confusing to discover that using a hydroxy booster has a major beneficial effect on car performance. However, that has nothing to do with the energy in the hydroxy gas (which comes from the electrical current in the first place). The extra energy is coming from the normal fuel used to run the engine. A car engine only extracts 30% or less of the energy in the fuel. Given a much improved burn by using a FirsStorm spark plug or by adding a little hydroxy gas to the incoming air, extracts a higher percentage of energy from the vehicle's normal fuel supply. You are improving the efficiency of the engine and the extra power comes from better use of the normal fossil fuel.

This has nothing to do with water and nothing directly to do with hydroxy gas and there is nothing remotely like 100% efficiency anywhere in any booster system. The alternator producing the current for electrolysis operates well below 100% efficiency, especially when hot (and the energy driving it comes from the fossil fuel). The electrolysis process in a booster is usually well below 100% efficient. The fuel burn inside the engine is massively below 100%, ao while there is a great improvement in vehicle performance and a substantial reduction in harmful emissions, the whole of the energy is coming from the fossil fuel at well below 100% efficiency.

Sorry about that, definitely not "over unity" or even anything remotely like 100% efficient.

Hi Martin,

You are perfectly correct, it is a physical impossibility to have more than 100% of anything. What you have bumped into is poor terminology and when many people talk about "over unity" they really mean a Coefficient Of
Performance ("COP") greater than 1.

A COP>1 is produced by one of the many systems where the energy output exceeds the energy input WHICH THE USER has to put in to make it work. Heat pumps such as a refrigerator have COP values well above 1 because they draw energy from the local environment. Other everyday examples are sailing yachts, windmills, solar panels, water wheels, Ram Pumps, and the like, where substantial energy outputs are produced courtesy of the local environment.

There are more exotic examples and if you want to follow up on the details of these things, then try visiting <http://www.free-energy-devices.com> where the subject is covered in considerable depth.

From their main page:

"The Law of Conservation of Energy is undoubtedly correct when it shows that more energy cannot be taken out of any system than is put into that system. However, that does not mean that we cannot get more energy out of a system than we put into it. A crude example is a solar panel in sunlight. We get electrical power out of the panel but we do not put the sunlight into the panel - the sunlight arrives on its own. This example is simple as we can see the sunlight reaching the solar panel."

I think most will agree we are not trying to create energy from nothing but are trying to tap into alternative forms of energy be it magnetic or some unknown force. If you put things into prospective, we haven't known about electricity for that long (if the world is millions and millions of years old....) so who's to say there isn't a form of energy we dont know about.

There is one. It is called productive thought not incessant bantering about nothing.
