This should help:

The first photo shows a blue dot indicating where to drill the 0.25 holes in all 15 plates.
The plates will be flipped left to right to stagger all holes.
Also shown is the 'gasket' cut from a 0.050 thick inner tube.
Just cut a rectangle, bend it in half, and cut out the inner rectangle as to leave a 1/4 perimeter.
I can do it in 30 seconds.

The second photo shows the middle plate Positive tab hole with a .25 hole for a screw. Note that it sticks out 1.25 and that is a bit too long. I suggest making it 0.75 longer than the end plates.

The third photo shows how close the 6-32 screws are to the middle plates.
I used aluminum plates in addition to the SS end plates for strength.
The next Amoeba Cell will be built with thicker SS end plates or a couple of thinner plates as a sandwich. (no gasket needed between them)
Finally, see the 5/16 SS tubing JB Weld epoxied to the SS end plate.
(It would be better to have it welded on.)

I hope that this helps.

P.S. Anyone have some extra 1/32 neoprene or other suitable gasket material and would like to contribute it to the Amoeba project?
