Anybody have any tips on sodering copper wire to 316 SS electrodes?

Does anyone have heat problems at thier connection and how did you solve it?

I'm going build a cell similar to this one. My plates are going to be different for this very reason. I don't like the spade terminal idea.. What I'm gonna do different is leave a tab at the top for the bolt to go through. So during assembly, while stacking the plates, i'll have nuts on each side of the plate tab to sandwich it and make the bolt become the connecion. Then I can connect a ring terminal to it on the outside of my end cap.

My father in law is making the plates for me, so once it's assembled then I can get pics.

hope this helps.

if you ARE going to use spade terminals though, take off the yellow plastic collar, and use a blue bernzo torch and SOLDER the wire to the spade terminal. That connection must be solid as well.

EDIT: If you have pictures of your setup it would make it easier to offer you suggestions as well. :)
