ok so after running my three units for over a week now I have some obsevations.

all are wrapped.

#1 - 5 plates 1/6" spacing - 26 amps - 13.4 V - 1.8 LPM - 145 F

Your system is generating 5.17 MMW HHO
This number has been rounded down to 2 decimal places, the actual number, according to the data you entered is 5.16647531573

This calculator will work out the MMW for you - just enter the following details:

Volts: 13.4

Amps: 26

Mililitres (ml) Produced: 1800

Amount of Seconds: 60

#2 - 5 plates 1/6" spacing - 16 amps - 11.4 V - 1.1 LPM - 132 F

Your system is generating 6.03 MMW HHO

This number has been rounded down to 2 decimal places, the actual number, according to the data you entered is 6.03070175439

This calculator will work out the MMW for you - just enter the following details:

Volts: 11.4

Amps: 16

Mililitres (ml) Produced: 1100

Amount of Seconds: 60

#3 - 14 plates 1/6" spacing 28 amps - 13.4 V - 150 F

Your system is generating 3.73 MMW HHO

This number has been rounded down to 2 decimal places, the actual number, according to the data you entered is 3.73134328358

This calculator will work out the MMW for you - just enter the following details:

Volts: 13.4

Amps: 28

Mililitres (ml) Produced: 1400

Amount of Seconds: 60

Now according to what people are saying this should not work this way.
that more plates are better - not!

sticking with my 5 plates.

interesting sucks, I would love to see more details on your 5plate set up. pictures?

Just saying that more plates are/are not better is misleading. How are they configured for your given input voltage?

A +NNNNN- configuration at 13.5 volts yields X MMW.

A +NNNNNNNNNNNN- configuration at the same 13.5 volts won't produce much as there is not enough voltage across each plate to generate HHO. Thus a very low MMW.

However A +NNNNN-NNNNN+NNNNN-... yields a better X MMW from the first example.

This assumes that all things are created equal in the HHO generator and just the plate configuration is changing. It is also assuming that all electrodes inside the electrolyte are shielded from said electrolyte. And that the edges of the plates are all sealed. Without any of this your testing is invalid as the stray currents are going to give you random results.

Hope this helps.

OK my bad the 14 plate is configured +NNNNN-(1/2 spacing)-NNNNN+ and all 1/6" spacing except where noted. so it is actually two cells.

and these are just my tests and observations.

I am going by most output with reasonable amps.

What's MMW?

What's MMW?

Mililitres per Minute per Watt

there is a calculator. - http://www.watervan.co.uk/tools.php

Would it not be better to do:
+NNNNN-NNNNN+ instead of
+NNNNN-(1/2 spacing)-NNNNN+ or:
+NNNNN-(1/2 spacing)+NNNNN-

+NNNNN-NNNNN+
+NNNNN-(1/2 spacing)-NNNNN+

are the same thing

and +NNNNN-(1/2 spacing)+NNNNN- is the same thing with more wiring.

any way it is put down its two cells - and need way more amps due to that fact.

ive even tried +NNNNN- as one cell and still wants a lot of amps.

Im sticking with +NNN- it works great for me.

mytoyotasucks, when you're saying 5 plates, are you just talking about your neutrals? If so then with your - & plus (dang plus key won't work) you have 7 plates in all, correct????

I've gotcha, guess according to the time I was posting the same time you were. Thankya much, might give it a try, using the 7 plate setup right now, barely getting 1 lpm at 18 amps. Plate are 2 1/2 X 10 inches.

im using 2 3/4" X 4 1/2" and KOH

OK tried the gen with a hose running to the air filter box - does not help much at all.
Going to re-hook the line to vacuum again tomorrow, but made new bubbler with one IN and two OUT - one 3/8" still going to air box, and a smaller one for vacuum line.

are you using any mods on your map or o2 sensors yet??

not O2 sensor yet, but am using Map sensor enhancer.
just havnt built a O2 sensor enhancer yet.

Using O2 extenders may be enough for you, instead of wiring up the EFIE's.
Just a thought, and a time saver.

Ya my map sensor enhancer works awsome, so dont know if i need one, but a friend of mine wants a EFIE and i told him i would build one. just making a nice schematic of the Map sensor enhancer(cause mine is slightly diff from other pics on here and the web) then going to post pics.

ok more results

for my 5 plates +nnn- = I get 1.2 LPM at 18 amps (plates are about 3 months old)
for my half Smack +(nn)(nn)(nn)(nn)- = I get 700 MLPM at 20 amps.

both at 12V

ok for reference = (nn) is two plates that have a SS nut between them to make them ONE plate like the "Smack" design.
