I have created this thread to document my progress in the development of a practical HHO generator. I may only be a teenager but I have become very interested and have invested a rather large amount into my generators.
I am current constructing a dry cell similar to Painless's cell. I started out with 2 gang ss wall plate blanks. I didn't like the way they sealed to I am cutting my own plates out of a readily available supply of ss. I just finished my plastic end pieces this weekend. I have included some pictures. Tell me what you think.
This one is the front view of my cell end pieces (and the back view cause it is transparent:D)

This one is the thickness of my plastic. Not sure what kind of plastic it is but it was free.

The thickness of my three plates. They were all free so I am not complaining. BTW they are 1/8" thick if you cant tell

Ha I'm a teenager too. Also constructing a dry cell close to painless. Heres some pics. I'm switching to the wall plates though because the ones I had weren't stainless. Lol you should get your calculus grade up.

Ok.enough of that. I'm old, 44.
VH are you sure your plate covers are stainless? I think those box covers are galvinized. I never saw those in stainless. Try sticking a magnet to them!
redneckGearhead that 1/8 inch stainless is going to be a nightmare to cut.
That is some seriously hard steel. I think you will need much thinner ss

You certainly won't have heat problems with plates that thick.Take forever to wear those out.Maybe you should call it the Battleship Cell because it looks indestuctable.Let me know how she produces,I've been building hho cells for almost two years and havn't seen anyone use plates that thick.Most of us can't afford them,free is always a bargin.Do you know what grade ss they are?

Van Halen does rock :cool:. And 44 is the new 35 lol. Anyway yea those aren't stainless steel. Bit of a mix up at Lowes, the dude told me they were, but he obviously lied:mad:. taking a magnet next time. It's a shame too, because the end lips were perfect for clippin on spade connectors.

Cool I am not alone. My calc grade has rose(sp) 5pts. since thursday last week.
As for jimbo I use a sawsall and just go slow but I run through a huge amount of blades(which are also free). I am thinking about using the electric bandsaw we have a school to cut them.
As for the plates I showed in the picture. After I posted the thread I put a magnet on them and the magnet stuck:mad:. So I found some other pieces of ss that are not magnetic. I still dont know what grade it is. I will post pics of my plates later this afternoon

Damn right on. Hagar never could fill Dave's shoes. To bad it took Eddie so long to realize that and bring DLR back :rolleyes:

birds eye view. on the left is my - or + plate. It is made out of 1/8" ss and has a tab cut on it so that I can have a good connection to my wire. On the left is my neutral plate. Made out of 1/16" ss.
