So I have read various designs(Smack) that use the plates from Lowes for the electrolysis. Question, are these electrical socket covers steal, 304 stainless, or 316 stainless. My friend is asking me to make him one, and I figured that be a cheaper way to go, but cheap materials and cutting corners never leads anywhere good...

If you watch smack's videos he explains that the covers look new after a years use. So I would say they perfectly fine to use. You can piss on them to clean them.

The 16 cent ones are not stainless. When I got the 24 that I used in my radial cell from Home Depot, they were $1.59 each. I used switch plates, as I could not find any blank covers.

On a side note.....I have an '84 Jimmy (originally a carbed 2.8) sitting in my shop, halfway through a 350TPI transplant. Van Halen's Best Of, Vol. 1 is in the CD player. :D
