Who here is a genuine diploma holding EE or has been functioning in that capacity for some time? I need to know when to whip out my ohm's law cheat sheet to spar with someone over theory and when to shaddap and listen. :D

Not a diploma-holding EE, but a Navy-trained ET (electronics tech.) currently supporting a family on automotive driveability repair.

Built a stand alone computer around a 6502 to be a programmable function generator way back... Also built a digital audio sampler with a commodore 64 for HS project. Can I get an "honorary" degree? Never made it through differential equations, fourier tansforms and matrices.

Sp1ro, Maybe they will let you in the club if you build a great generator, you know one that is EE ( Extremely Efficient ). :) You got my vote anyway.
