im taking smiths idea with his plates in the U shape and doing 5 inches wide and 24inches tall with a one inch bend in the middle for the U, So it will be a little more than 2wice the surface area. im putting it in a 5 gallon bucket. what do you think guys? btw thanx smith for the design idea.

too much current draw for a standard vehicle alternator.

It would be fun to see but I think the amp draw will be pretty high.

"U Shapes" are in reference to my neutral plate design.

What are you using to space the plates out? I use the width of a Zip tie at the four corners. I would think that you should put zip ties at the corners and in the middle of the length to get proper spacing. It looks like you have varying plate spacing. Your plates spacing is not very uniform.

Not meaning to criticize but I think these things are important.

as far as spacing im not happy with the way it worked out, it is inconsistent
its like some camper door outer thing that you just press on. got it at a trailer supply store. i have it in a 5 gallon bucket now. do you think with that much surface area i should make my gaps biger than normal or smaller, its 5x11.5 cells what do you think smith any good ideas. im all open to ideas
