View Full Version : Update on tube cluster cell

Well, thanks to the great work of Eric (thanks again buddy, the plates work GREAT) I've got my cell mostly put together. Just gotta figure out the internal connectors that will connect the cell to the housing. I think I figured it out a few minutes ago, but won't get a chance to do anything with it for a day or 2.

First pic shows the laser cut plates. One plate holds and connects all the .75" tubes, and the other plate connects all the .50" tubes. The housing is a 3" stainless pipe with a wall thickness of about 1/8". The end caps are UHMW, and I need to find some small cross-section O-rings for each end.

This is about the 4th time these tubes have been cut & assembled together in various configurations. I'm pretty happy with the assembly results so far. Won't be much more to report until the cell construction is finally complete.

Thanks hydrotinkerer, I will most definately be reporting back on progress & results!
